Why Instrument Proficiency Check?
Instrument Proficiency Check (IPC) is a proficiency assessment required by FAA regulations for pilots flying under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). It is especially important for pilots who have not conducted IMC flights for an extended period or have not maintained their IFR currency. According to FAA regulations (14 CFR § 61.57), IPC is required when a pilot fails to meet the IFR currency requirements within the designated timeframe.
Fly With Roman offers more than a standard IPC – our goal is not only to meet regulatory requirements (currency) but also to enhance the pilot’s skills (proficiency) and ensure full confidence in operating the aircraft under IFR conditions.

- If a pilot fails to meet these requirements within an additional 6-month period, an IPC must be completed before conducting IFR flights.
